To enhance the quality of our journal publications, we cordially invite experts to serve as reviewers for Matsnawi: Journal of Tasawwuf and Psychotherapy Studies. Your support and contribution are invaluable in ensuring that the manuscripts we publish maintain the highest standards of scholarly quality.

Qualifications

  • Holds a Master or Doctoral degree.
  • Research expertise aligned with Tasawwuf (Islamic mysticism) or psychotherapy studies from Islamic and other religious perspectives.
  • Demonstrated experience as a reviewer in reputable scientific journals.
  • Has published articles in internationally reputable journals and has a record of citations.

Manuscript Review Criteria

1. Presentation

  • Does the manuscript present a cohesive argument?
  • Are the ideas clearly presented?

2. Writing

  • Does the title reflect the manuscript?
  • Is the writing concise and easy to follow?

3. Length

  • Which parts of the manuscript should be elaborated, removed, shortened, summarized, or merged?

4. Title

  • Does the title reflect the content of the manuscript concisely, clearly, and attractively?

5. Abstract

  • Does the abstract cover the research background, objective, method, findings, and contributions/implications?

6. Introduction

  • Does the introduction indicate a research gap to be addressed?
  • Is the literature review relevant and does it support understanding of the research question(s)?
  • Is the originality of the work clearly described?
  • Is the objective of the study clearly presented?

7. Method

  • Are all research procedures thoroughly described?
  • Are data analysis techniques adequately elaborated?
  • Does the section provide recommendations or guidelines to facilitate replication?

8. Result

  • Are the outcomes clearly described and do they address the research questions?

9. Discussion

  • Does the discussion relate the results to current or previous literature?
  • Are substantial meanings and implications of the findings clearly described?
  • Does the section address the strengths and limitations of the study?

10. Conclusion

  • Are the main conclusions presented effectively based on the results and discussion?
  • Does it highlight new findings that contribute to the development of Tasawwuf and psychotherapy studies?
