MISTISISME DAN KONTROVERSI PEMIKIRAN HAMZAH FANSURI DALAM KHAZANAH SUFISTIK NUSANTARA

Abstract

The development of Islam in the Nusantara region is closely linked to the contributions of Sufi scholars. One notable figure is Hamzah Fansuri, renowned for his influence in literature, culture, and Sufism. Despite his prominence, his ideas were not fully accepted by all scholars, notably Nuruddin al-Raniri. This study employs a library research method, using documentation to gather data sources. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings are as follows: First, Hamzah Fansuri lived during the reign of Sultan Alauddin Syah. Second, Hamzah Fansuri espoused the concept of wujudiyah, as reflected in his works. Third, the intertwining of religion and politics in Aceh during Hamzah Fansuri's time led to mutual influences in their development, significantly shaping Hamzah Fansuri's thought.
