Author Guidelines

A. Manuscript General Requirement

  1. Written in English or Bahasa
  2. The length of the manuscript is 5.000 - 7.500 words (not including references)
  3. Article must be accompanied by an abstract written up to 250 words. Abstract for article is written in English.
  4. The structure of the article should follow the article templates provided on this journal website here.
  5. The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  6. The manuscript file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format (don't use another format).
  7. Referencing style uses APA Style. Author is encouraged to use the Mendeley software to simplify the citation technique.
  8. Authors submit article by creating an account on the journal webpage and uploading the article soft file in Ms Word format. Authors are welcome to contact the editorial team via email jurnalumbara@gmail.com if you experience difficulties in the article upload process.

B. Structure of the Manuscript

  1. TITLE. This is your opportunity to attract the reader’s attention. Remember that readers are the potential authors who will cite your article. Identify the main issue of the paper. Begin with the subject of the paper. The title should be accurate, unambiguous, specific, and complete. Do not contain infrequently-used abbreviations.
  2. AUTHOR INFORMATION. Write Author(s) names without title and professional positions such as Prof, Dr, Production Manager, etc. Do not abbreviate your last/family name. Always give your First and Last names. If you have a one-word name such as Isehu, write Isehu Isehu. Write clear affiliation of all Authors. Affiliation includes the name of department/unit, (faculty), name of the university, address, country. Please indicate the Corresponding Author (include email address) behind the name. Author addresses are superscripted by numerals and centered over both columns of manuscripts.
  3. ABSTRACT AND KEYWORD. The length of the Abstract is 200-300; No citation; State in the abstract a primary objective, methodology, main outcomes, results, and conclusions.
  4. SECTION STRUCTURE. Authors are suggested to present their manuscript in the section structure: Introduction, should describe the background of article with simple and explicit description. The description should explain important contribution of the study, should fully equipped with article purpose, and should discuss the main idea of past research, and then make a difference issue with those articles. Method, should explain how the research is conducted including type of research / research design, technique to choose the sample of research, to collect, and to analyze the data. Results and Discussion, should explain the main findings of the research and the argument based on the findings. The results obtained from the research have to be supported by sufficient data. The research results and the discovery must be the answers or the research hypothesis or research question stated previously in the introduction part. Tables and figures must have titles and have clear numbers and sources, and be typed in single space. Conclusion, contains the author's interpretation from result and discussion to advised and mention recommendation or suggestion. The conclusion describes the answers to the hypothesis or research question, the research purposes, and the research discoveries. The conclusion should not contain only the repetition of the results and discussions. It should be the summary of the research results as the author expects in the research purposes or the hypothesis.
  5. REFERENCES. Must contain all references cited in the article. Bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals; minimum 80%) of the total bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. The references must be written following the APA Style in Times New Roman 11. Referencing technique using Mendeley is highly recommended.
