EFEKTIFITAS TUGAS MANDIRI BERBASIS INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DALAM KEMAMPUAN MENULIS
Abstract
Tugas Mandiri or Independent assignments are an important element in implementing the learning process at the University. With the existence of information and communication technology, the opportunity to carry out independent tasks has become easier and more motivating. However, very few people talk about the forms or principles adopted in the independent assignment process so that their application becomes unclear. Jati (2021) reminds us that students are adept at using technology, but cannot yet learn with technology. ICT-based independent tasks have been patterned into an ICT task-based form. Many researchers suggest The principles and patterns of ICT-based independent assignments follow the Task-based pattern, while viewing language from a functional linguistic perspective, viewing technology as a process, and building independence that refers to three things; authentic exposure, the process of experience with technology and self-evaluation. Using a quasi-experimental design, this research aims to test the effectiveness of Task Based ICT in learning writing. The results of statistical calculations of the pre-test and post-test results for the experimental class and control class show that the independent assignment model using the ICT Task-Based principle has an influence in improving students' productive abilities (writing skills).
