Abstract

In the context of the dynamic changes of the digital world, cybersecurity is a critical aspect that requires special attention from educators. This study aims to understand the differences in cybersecurity skills among teachers based on their work experience. Survey research methods were used to collect data from teachers with varying levels of work experience. The focus of the study included evaluating their understanding of cybersecurity concepts, implementation of security practices, and the impact of work experience on improving cybersecurity skills. The results found that teachers have low skills in determining actions to protect digital devices. Teachers have been security conscious through being vigilant about personal identity in the online environment. Teachers with 5-9 years of work experience have a higher understanding of cybersecurity education than teachers with 1-4 years and more than 10 years of work experience. The results of this study provide a deep insight into the extent of cybersecurity skills differences among teachers with different work experience backgrounds. The implications of this study include the development of training strategies that can be tailored to teachers' experience levels to improve cybersecurity understanding and skills. It is hoped that the findings of this study can contribute to our understanding of how to engage and support educators in facing cybersecurity challenges more effectively in this digital era
